National Home Furnishings Month, the first event of it's kind, is meant to connect consumers with furniture designers and trade professionals. Promoted by spokesperson Monica Pedersen of HGTV's "Designed to Sell," and the Las Vegas World Market Center as the drum-up to the launch of the September market, National Home Furnishings Month's tagline "Is it home yet" has been proudly plastered across promotional materials, displays, and an interactive National Home Furnishings Month website.
Pedersen, in addition to lending her voice and image to promote the month-long holiday, also gave out general design tips to website visitors, and gave away design advice to sweepstakes winners. There are also $5,000 room makeovers being given away leading up to the launch of World Market Center Las Vegas. Pedersen will also be featured in the downloadable "Style File" videos that dispense invaluable design advice.
"National Home Furnishings Month is such a huge and wonderful initiative and I am thrilled to be involved with it," Pedersen said in a release.
"The idea of refreshing one's environment, even in the smallest ways, can have a restorative power and transform a house to a home. And, since the home is a place for family to celebrate life events, there is also a very powerful emotional return on this kind of investment," said Bob Maricich, WMC president and CEO.
While this campaign is being pushed by Las Vegas World Market Center, the destination has the support of the National Home Furnishings Association and the American Home Furnishings Alliance. Learn more about National Home Furnishings Month at http://www.homeyet.com
