Outdoor Living

Podcast!

Today I am at the Orlando Home & Garden Show, with the distinct pleasure of speaking with Mark Watts of EZ Hang Chairs. We have all seen and heard of the hanging chair before, but EZ Hang Chairs took this simple concept that started with a hammock and developed it into a variety of styles and options that have become quite popular today. Mark Watts gave me a brief history of EZ Hang Chairs as he explained that the first hanging chair ever made was built for an assignment by a University of Minnesota Experimental College student. His ground breaking design even won first prize in an international furniture design competition in Tokyo (circa 1974).

If you've ever wondered if you have what it takes to become a landscape designer, then you probably already have an interest in the architexture of an outdoor environment.

Uwharrie Chair, based in North Carolina, specializes in plantation grown pressure treated pine furniture.

Hammocks have been a traditional bedding solution for Central and South American people for centuries. The natural materials used in their creation, durable but breathable fabric construction, and comprehensive support makes them an ideal choice for afternoon lounging and in many cases, overnight sleeping.
