I don't think budget has anything to do with it. That table is made out of plywood like you would find at Lowes. Even if the eco-friendly version cost many times more, $420 is absolutely ridiculous.
From a design standpoint, those are just too cool. Filling them with ethanol must be difficult and dangerous though. I can't even fill my lawnmower without getting gas everywhere.
This is a common request, and surprisingly hard to pull off. The use of color and patterns has a huge impact. Keep prints out of the room, and use solids and stripes where applicable. The seashells and novelty wall hangings really aren't necessary. One accent, like a marlin or a life preserver, is all it takes to communicate "ocean".
I've found that a lot of these rooms end up becoming the elephant graveyard of a man's bachelor stuff. Unsightly furniture and tacky decor are the unfortunate status quo.
FBI has had a hard time staying relevant to furniture shoppers and professionals. While it's horrible that this many people lost their jobs prior to the holidays, perhaps this shock will bring the Lane and Broyhill brands to their senses.
After all of the recent layoffs, I'm not sure who will be going to each show. Tupelo, Atlanta, High Point, and Vegas create a rigorous schedule even when sales are good.
These refrigerators are built with a high-end consumer in mind. If you buy a lot of exotic foods, like specialized cheeses and vegetables, this could be a great fit for you. Because of the special atmospheric control, your foods can be stored in a Sub-Zero refrigerator without needing to be covered. Also, because the cooling system and ventilation is on top of the fridge instead of in the back, the storage space is much more useful than the 37" deep conventional fridge, or the super-shallow counter-depth refrigerators by LG.
If your grocery shopping is a bit more basic, the $1400 is probably better spent on your yearly food purchases. Sticking to a decent quality French-door refrigerator with a solid freezer bin might be your best bet.
Remember, a bevy of furniture shoppers spend $10k or more on living room furniture. $420 is just a drop in the bucket for people with budgets like that. The Living Room set they have on sale is absolutely hideous.
There's no pricing or dealer info listed on their website, so I assume they sell to-the-trade. Seems kind of suspicious considering the inherent danger of their product. They might have a peculiar sales method to protect themselves legally.

I think you mean to say IKEA, not IKIA. I like Ikea, they make the mega-retail corporation concept not seem so evil, and they make functional and cheap not so... well... cheap. I've probably spent a week of my life looking at IKEA furniture so far.
It's good to see that we have at least a little testosterone on FD. I love the ambiguous reference to "risqué wall art". There was a lot of that in my father's garage, lol. Now if we can just get a review on HD home theater setups and indoor grills.
I still can't say "man cave" without giggling. That room needs serious renovation. Maybe you should let your fiancee have more of a say in the decor. IMO it's hard to make an apartment look good when you have such bland architecture and cheap carpet flooring to start with. You say "budget" and I hear "Ikea".
I'm in the middle of remodeling my living room, including my entertainment center. I'm actually having something made with Kraftmade cabinets, it's a lot more affordable than I thought and has a great warranty to boot.

I'm curious how comfortable a $7000 lounge chair feels. Do you suppose they'd let me sit in it without signing a guarantee or waiver? lol

There's still a strong demand for parquet and plank flooring. Warm wood stain does wonders for any room.

Paul Roberts Furniture is so cool! It has a funky vibe but is still very high class. It's hard to find a showroom that carries it in my area though.

Not really feeling it...
First thing I noticed was your lighting. It really makes the room classy.

There are Hammocks at Wal-Mart for less than $70. What could you possibly be getting for thousands of dollars?
45° in Florida today. There was ice on the windshield of my car.
Decorating for a wedding involves a florist, a catering service, and yards of tulle cloth. That's about it.
