The Barry Dixon interview was cool, but I'm not really into traditional furniture. I don't know if it is my taste or my budget. My furniture purchases have been largely from IKEA stores and Crate & Barrel catalogs, which should give you some indication of the money (or lack thereof) I have to spend. I really dig the timeless things that the Barry Dixon interview talks about, but I'm not sure how you pull that off with a budget like mine. Antiques are totally out of the picture.

As far as your "Antiques Budget" goes, you should really check out the thrift stores, boutiques, and consignment shops in your area. I'm not sure where Oakhurst is, but if you are anywhere near a beach or other desirable retirement location, you're sure to find unique furniture that has outlived its original purpose.
